From Detachment Headquarters Please remember, membership dues sent to detachment is $10.00 per member per year.
2010 Membership Cards Have Been Distributed - All Squadrons should have received their membership cards and rosters for the 2006 membership year. Transmittals should be made at least once a month in order to allow the Detachment to meet its periodic target dates. Each Squadron is asked to comply. Blue Star Banner At Squadron Meetings - A Blue Star Banner ceremony should now be a part of S.A.L. meeting openings, immediately following the draping of the POW-MIA "empty chair".
Resolution NC2 03, adopted at the 32nd National Convention, of the Sons of The American Legion, calls for displaying of a Blue Star Service Banner at all meetings of the Sons of The American Legion as a symbol of our support of all the military personnel serving this great country. Let us never forget that every day these individuals are protecting our liberty." Only the 3' by 5' Corporate Blue Star Banner should be used. They can be purchased through Emblem Sales. |
